Hiring international students through the J-1 Work & Travel program involves several moving parts: recruitment, interviews, visa documentation, and arrival. We coordinate the connection and guide you through each stage — so the process stays clear and manageable, even if it's your first season hosting.
We start with a conversation about your seasonal needs: the roles you're hiring for, your busy months, how many students you'd like, and the wages and housing you can offer. This helps us understand exactly what kind of placement will work for you.
The J-1 Work & Travel program is designed for businesses with a genuine seasonal or temporary staffing need — typically in tourism, hospitality, and recreation. We'll confirm that your roles align with program guidelines before moving forward, so there are no surprises later.
We introduce you to one of our established Work & Travel partner agencies abroad. These agencies specialize in recruiting and preparing motivated university students, and they work with official, U.S. Department of State–designated sponsors who manage the visa side of the program.
You review and interview candidates — typically by video — before making your selection. You stay in control of who joins your team. Our partners pre-screen students for English proficiency and reliability, so you're choosing from candidates who are ready to work.
Once you've selected your students, the partner agency's official sponsor issues the required DS-2019 forms and guides students through their J-1 visa interviews. You don't manage any of this paperwork — it's handled by the people authorized to do it.
Your students arrive in time for your busy period, ready to work. We stay reachable throughout, so if a question comes up along the way, you always know who to talk to.
